Off with a bang

A new furniture showroom from online retailer Address72 made an explosive start on Bonfire Night (November 5) as customers flocked to see the latest range of fitted furniture, French furniture and bedroom furniture; and enjoy the furniture sale.

The showroom, on Hockliffe Street in Leighton Buzzard, displays the ranges that are available through the Address72.com website as well as many accessories that are not listed online. It was unveiled by the Mayor of Leighton Buzzard, Gordon Perham, and has already attracted hundreds of customers keen to see if the incredible luxury and glamour they have witnessed at the website is matched by the comfort that can only be confirmed with a ‘hands-on’ (and ‘bums on seats’) approach.

Reassuring customers of the quality and comfort of its furniture is one of the key reasons why Address72 managing director Paul Johnson was determined to complement the website with a showroom.

“Although we are primarily an online furniture retailer we feel it is important that we provide a place for our customers to come and see our products before making a purchase,” he said.

“Our aim is to increase our customers’ confidence in us as an ethical, family business which provides a personal service. We are all very excited about the future of our brand.”

The Address72 showroom displays the latest in fitted furniture and French furniture; as well as bedroom furniture and ranges for other rooms including: dining rooms, living rooms, studies and hallways. It features all the latest products, including: the new Windsor range, hand-crafted from the highest grade solid Mahogany; the Three Acre Oak Range, a modern and classy design sourced from the highest quality oak; and the new Wiemann fitted wardrobes, which feature sliding doors.

In addition, the furniture sale, which is currently available online at Address72.com, has been taken to the showroom too. It includes huge reductions in the cost of Boston range furniture, incorporating drawers, dressing tables, bookcases and bedsteads; as well as more than £100 off selected products in the Santiago range, such as a dining set with a table and six chairs.

Customers interested in any of these products can visit the Address72.com website or head to the new Leighton Buzzard showroom, which is open from 9.30am – 5.30pm Monday-Friday and from 10am – 5.30pm on Saturdays.

With a simple, but elegant design, John Lewis Verona offers versatile style for your bedroom. Available in Light Oak veener and with a choice of two handles – rustic or contemporary nickel for a more traditional or modern look as well as plain or silver mirrored doors allowing you to create a truly individual bedroom.

John Lewis provides everything you need for an ultimate fitted bedroom, from a free home design visit, to full installation and a 10-year guarantee.

The service starts with a home visit from an experienced John Lewis representative to discuss your choice of style and storage needs. Once you’ve selected your favourite look from the range of samples available and designed a bespoke interior for all your individual needs, you’ll receive a 3D visual and floor plan of how your new room will look.

Once you’ve agreed your final design, a surveyor will visit your home to double-check all the measurements before the furniture is made. Cousins Win Thousands Of New Furniture Followers

A long-established and popular Midlands furniture retailer is finding that by using modern marketing techniques as well as traditional advertising, it can attract thousands of potential new customers – despite the doom and gloom in the High Streets!

The Company recently ran a Facebook competition that attracted over 2,500 new followers for the Company.

The competition prize was £1,000 of vouchers and was won by a young newly-married couple from Sutton Coldfield, Erica and Michael Gainford who are both aged 26.

Erica has suffered from the debilitating illness ME for over 2 years and has been unable to work on a regular basis as a result.

Erica told us,“We have only been married for 3 months and this win is fantastic as we have not had the money to spend on quality furniture. My illness and the burden of Michael’s student loan repayments mean that we have had to budget very carefully. We have never visited Cousins before, but they have a fantastic range of lovely furniture and we are going to be spoilt for choice!

“While I have been ill, I have entered various online competitions, but this is the first time that I have won anything. Even though I live only a few miles from Cousins we had not heard of them before. Our visit to their showroom was a real eye opener!”

John Shotton Managing Director of Cousins said: “We know that life isn’t easy for young couples like Erica and Michael and we were delighted to give them the good news and to welcome them to our store at Tyseley.

The response from the Facebook competition has been amazing, attracting several thousand new potential customers.

We have been working with our marketing agency interactive wardlovett for many years - and it was their suggestion that we use Facebook and other social media to promote our products - without abandoning our commitment to traditional press and radio advertising. The result is that despite the current economic climate, we are doing very well in attracting new and returning customers.”
