When my wife and I bought our show home we also bought a range of furnishings, too.
A sofa, some cabinets, three beds and a desk. (The desk I am using, now.)
There were also two glass tables and dining table and a coffee table.
Every-so-often we use linseed on the wood of the tables.
Recently my wife lifted the glass from the coffee table so we could polish the wood with linseed and, as she stood with the glass in her hands, it exploded.
Fortunately it was safety glass, but even so, one would have hoped it would not just have exploded.
Now, we aren't telling you get rid of your glass tables, but we are advising you to be very careful when you select a table, if it is made of glass.
After all, have you ever heard of a wooden table exploding? No. Nor had we!
